Happy Friday, guys! As Denim Tidbits has been more focused on the ladies, we thought we’d devote this week’s edition to the guys out there. Here goes:
1) When buying jeans, reproduce your normal wearing conditions: Walk around the store with them and check the pocket space and your level of comfort when sitting down. Can they handle your keys? Wallet? Cell phone? Especially if man bags aren’t your thing, ensure there is enough space to hold your essentials.
2) Purchase a dark blue jean:We’re all for men wearing embellished/distressed/fashion pieces but a dark blue jean should be a wardrobe staple in every man’s closet. It’s timeless, versatile, and looks great with almost any shirt.
3) Get skinny but not too skinny: Despite what the name implies, skinny jeans for men should not be too tight (or too loose for that matter). Unlike other styles, these do not always need a scrunch, but they should cover your ankles.
4) Nail the length: When it comes to the length of their jeans, men have it easy. There’s no debating about whether to keep the length long for heels or hem it up. However we suggest washing the jeans before hemming them just to be safe. Pre-washing will put the denim through any initial shrinking before you take more away.
