The time of year has come again where shorts make a regular appearance in your outfits. Whether you’re 18 or 48, there’s no reason why shorts are off limits. As long as you choose your shorts wisely, you can definitely carry it off. Here are some of our tips to ensure you really do rock your pair of shorts:
1) Moisturize your legs religiously
When you wear a pair of shorts, your legs are on full exposure. To prevent your legs from drying up as the weather warms up, be sure to make moisturizing a part of your daily routine at least once a day.

2) Think tan
We are all aware of the dangers of tanning bed and exposing our skins to too much sunlight. Fortunately several bottled tan sprays & moisturizers exist such as Dove Summer Glow Nourishing Body Lotion. Along with making you appear slimmer, tanned legs can make various leg problems like spider veins & cellulite appear less noticeable.

3) Find a length that suits YOUR figure
Some ladies are blessed with long, slender legs which means they can pretty much carry off any style. For the rest of us, it’s crucial to find a pair which best accentuates our assets. For less toned legs, longer-length shorts in a darker shade look best. If your legs are on the shorter side, avoid a pair that has cuffs since they tend to cut the length of your leg. For those of you with a petite, slender frame and short legs, opt for a slightly shorter pair of shorts to elongate your legs.

4) Add some height
Nobody’s asking you to wear an uncomfortable pair of stilettos. A simple 3-inch heel can do the job just as well. A cute pair of heels or wedges will create the illusion of longer & slender legs.

5) Choose a top which will enhance your overall look
If your legs are your best features, choose a plain top to draw attention to your legs and lower body. Alternatively, if your lower body is not your best feature, choose a striking top to draw attentions to that half of your body.

6) Make an effort to tone your legs
To ensure you look and feel your best in shorts, it’s important to regularly work out your lower body. An ideal routine is one which incorporates both cardio and strength training sessions. While cardio will help you to reduce your total fat %, strength training will add definition to your legs. Plus those endorphins will do wonders for your confidence levels!
